WHAT WE DO

Regular networking events, meet-ups and field-visits in and around Cheshire, designed to bring young agriculture professionals together.

Skill-building workshops: topics include farm business planning, environmental regulation, digital farming tools, diversification, marketing, rural policy.

Peer & mentor sessions: connect with more experienced practitioners in the region, get fresh ideas, ask questions, explore collaboration.

Regional ag-business community: forge relationships with other young professionals locally, build your network across farms, suppliers, contractors and rural service businesses.

Focused on 18-35 year olds: because we believe the future of agriculture in Cheshire depends on a new generation stepping up, bringing energy, innovation and ambition.

Each of the 1835 Network’s leaders (Dan Evans from Opal Agricultural Finance, Georgie Lee from Rostons, and Sophie Large from Reaseheath College) play an active role in delivering the Nantwich Show each year. Their commitment reflects the Society’s belief that the future of Cheshire agriculture depends on collaboration between experienced professionals and emerging talent.

Through the 1835 Network, the Society creates meaningful opportunities for 18–35-year-olds to connect, learn, and contribute to the success of local farming and rural enterprise ensuring the region’s agricultural spirit remains strong for generations to come.
